History: Dodge was from dodge he was brought to Montana sales barn after some cowboy's took him from the wild and broke him in along with his trust for men.
Other:with help from owner krista he is on the mend and is gaining trust gradually,he had a scar on his right cheek from a whip lash made by some cowboy mistreating him.

History:Dallas did come from dallas,she was left tied up to the ranch entrance gate one night when Handley was locking up,there was a note stuck to the gate it read "This is Dallas I hope you will take good care of her as i do not have the time or money and i cant get down to a sale barn,she is 11 years of age and id broken in,was used as a day to day horse and had no problems with illness your sincerely...
And with a check from the vet and a ride from Handley she was a part of the ranch and has been for 3 and a half years.
Other:she looks after her riders and is one of the safest horses in and out of the ranch.

Other: Cinnamon has a thin scar thats only just visible on her back left hock no one knows why.

"good boy tex," i say patting my horses neck,we were on a trail taking our new dude riders up past three mile creek Charlie lead up front and i was in the middle of the line of 8 horses and dude riders.
It was a sunny hot day at colourado not a cloud in the sky above an eagle swooped overhead into the distance and off over the creeks,charlie.looked back at me and smiled i smiled back at him we were secretly dying to laugh at the all new dudes they were so nervous and quiet then Charlies smile droped as he looked at the end of the line where a certain Johnny mohawk was being ridden all wrong and to hard by his dude,Charlie turned and trotted up to me on one of Kristas horses Gunsmoke,i frowned this cant be good,"that dude is giving Johnny a hard time can you hold the line while i set him straight," he says and i nod Gunsmoke trots up to the new dude rider while i ride tex up front and keep things goin slow till wich will give Charlie time to sort that dude out i shake my head "poor Johnny," i whisper Tex puts one ear back to listen to me.
Charlie//
"hey sir, you cant keep Johnny so tight loosen your reins abit let him have his head," i say feeling slightly angry as Johnny was a real great horse and should be treated good to hes pretty much my favourite horse to ride.

Krista//
Turning to serra i reply "depends on whos in the saddle but our horses dont usally thats why we picked most of em out,unless the persons in a bad mood horses pick up easily on that," looking back to see charlie on his way up.
Charlie//
As the clueless dude does as he is told i finish "good now keep him like that," and trott up back to the front checking dudes and horses as i come up.

Charlie//
"Can one of you keep an eye on the dude whos ridin Johnny,im not convinced hes through yet and give me a holla if hes pushin him hard again," i ask the girls returning to take back my place up front.
Krista//
"serra would you mind?," i ask as i wanted to stay near West as he wasnt taken out much by dudes due to him being young and alittle jumpy at new stuff in the middle of the line,though i didnt like how Johnny was being treated but i knew Serra was stern and would suit the job as lookout for my horse.

Charlie//
"three mile creek is a mile away now ,this is Narrow peak follow through,as you probably guessed its gonna be narrow and its dark to just keep your heads and the horses will do the same,after narrow peak not too far ahead is a stream were gonna have to cross so let your horse find its own way through as it can get pretty deep," i announce turning back to look at the line then back to the trail.
Krista// "thanks," i thank Serra and hearing Charlie keep the dude riders up to date on out trail though i already knew we were getting close to water melt pass it was good we were close as it was boiling today my shirt stuck to my back as we approched narrow peak.

Charlie//
"weldone,keep it coming," i say making sure everyone was through but only half did "whats the hold up?," i ask hearing stamping from a horse,Krista jumps off Tex,mutters something and fast-walks back into the peak
Krista//
Coming through the other side of the dark peak followed by 4other riders the line falls short i can hear stamping and afew rocks falling to the ground,i turn Tex in a circle to see what is goin on to see it was West he had stoped dead in the middle,hoofs stamping and head stuck up in the air,afew rocks fell so i told Tex "stay here tex,ill be back," i walked alot faster than normal "okay West its alright," i comforted the young horse and told the dude who looked scared "stay calm ma'am im gonna lead him through," taking the reins under his chin i pull him forwards gentley through the dark peak,he stops freaking out and calms once were at the side with the others the rest of the dudes come through with Serra at the back,i stand talking softly to west.

--Serra--
Seeing that there was a hold up, Serra nearly got off of her saddle to help West but Krista was there first. She simply made sure that things didn't fly off the wall while the back was stopped. It was a good thing that things stayed calm, they were on a not so big path so things would have gone crazy dangerous.

Krista//
I strocked West's neck "your okay boy," i told him looking up to the rider who still seemed scared i asked "would you like to ride Gunsmoke for the rest of the trail?," she nodded and dismounted "he'll take real goid care of you," i said Charlie dismounted and helped the woman onto Smoke "why dont you take Tex,ill take West and calm him down," i suggest Charlie patted Tex and mounted ajusting the stirrups,i mounted West and ajusted myself,he seemed happier that i was on him i felt he was tense then he relaxed as i sat down "there,walk on," i say as we continue to melt pass.
Charlie//
Seeing Krista guide West through i relised he was the problem as Krista sugested we swap i helped the woman onto Smoke and got into Tex patting his neck and sorting myself out checking West was okay i trusted Krista would sort him out "alright lets get moving again remember melt water pass is coming up so let your horse find its own way through and no fooling around it can get deep,keep a single file through ill go first to show how its done and well take it from there," i say to the dude riders as we carry on up to the pass,West seemed alot calmer now "Serra everythin okay back there?," i ask keeping check of everthin as it was my job as always on trails to keep things runnin smoothly.

--Serra--
Once everything was set out, and riders were sorted out amongst horses, Serra let Leroy walk on following the others and bringing up the back. "Everything seems good," she told Charlie, "no stragglers here." It would interesting to see how this trip reacted to Water Melt Pass. She had only been here once, and that was right after she got a job here. Leroy didn't mind it, and neither did she. But who knew how the people would be. Rubbing Leroy's neck, she talked to him a moment letting time pass. It wasn't long however before she saw the water that gave Water Melt Pass it's name.

Charlie//
"and here we are," letting Tex go were he needed we passed through with ease the water lapped around my boots "its pretty deep so be wary and let the horses have there reins loosen up abit," i instruct the group,the woman on Smoke came through first nicely followed by Cinnemon,Montanna,Dallas and Desparado then West who seemed alittle skittish but came through slowly with Krista talking to him alk the way "nice work Krista," i compelement then i see we have more problems "oh Butterscotch why today?," i ask the snooty mare who would not bodge,i turn Tex around and head back trough grabbing Butterscotch's reins "forward!," i say sternly and she comes reluctantly "honastly what dont you want to spoil your fancy coat or something?," i question the stuck up horse making the guests chuckle,we make it to the other side now Butterscotch if followed by the rest and finally with Serra brunging up the back we carry on.
Krista//
"okay boy take it nice and easy youll be great," i say as West steps into the water nervy and slowly "atta boy nice and slow," i rub his neck as he makes it through "that was great," i patt his neck again then hearing Charlie mention the name Butterscotch i rolll my eyes and shake my head at the fancy mare who was holding everyone up "dont make me come over there Butterscotch," i threaten but still she dosnt move,Charlie takes Tex back through the pass and grabs Butterscotch's reins giving her no choice to come.

--Serra--
The crossing of the river would have been simple if Butterscotch wasn't here. Serra laughed as Butterscotch crossed the river, like everyone else. She was prissy when it came to then horses here. One of the most prissiest horses here actually. The cool water felt so nice around her considering it was so hot here. Although it wasn't as bad as Egypt. That place got insanely hot to her. Looking at the eight that were here, the guests all seemed relieved to be somewhere cooler as some people were sweating through their shirts.

Charlie//
"and here we are,three mile creak," i say taking my stenson off and fanning my face with it it was worth it though the sun shone down on the grassy land full of long horns it was great up here.
Krista//
This place to Krista ment alot memories of her and her grandfarther came flooding back as they rode through the grassy land rounding the cattle up for the spring calfs when she was younger,it was as beautiful as ever as the soft blue sky met the lush sweet smelling grass,everyone dismounts to take a break and have a strech,i have a drink from my flasqe of water abd put it back in my pocket everyine else has drinks of water with them too,some go to take pictures and stroke the cows,i go and sit on a boulder at the side of the field and watch the horses as they all have a drink from a trough,then i go and stroke Johnny and stand by him for a while still feeling annoyed with the dude but these things you had to let go of.

Once at three mile creek, Serra hopped off of Leroy like everybody else did and sighed a breath of relief. Walking around a bit, it seems different although nothing has changed. It's simply the amount of people that are here. Funny how a military brat who lived all her 18 years preferred a life with a few people rather than a life of large group of people. Some people walked over to Serra, asking questions and then walking around again to go to the horses or livestock. Leaning slightly on Leroy, the horse snorted at her and looked at her. It was as if he was saying, "Talk to some people, and get off of me." Smiling at the dun and patting his side she walked around and over to Krista hoping to spark a conversation with her.

Krista//
As i watched Johnny drink i stroked his neck noticing Serra walking up to see me, "howdy ma'am fine day aint it," i say in a sarcastic thick westrn accent purely cause i was taking the mick as we looked very western up here,this meadow by the creek was hundereds of years old and had been own by western folk for as long as it stood,i pretended it was way back in the day talking old western style.
Charlie//
Hearing Krista talk in a too thick accent i chuckle and walk over too them patting West's neck who was stood next to Johnny, i join in with an old western voice of my own "indeed it is ma'am well spoke," i say patting Kristas shoulder also to blend in.

Serra wasn't expecting the fake and thick western accent both Kirista and Charlie had for her, and she laughed at the sound of it. "It's lovely out here," she said without an accent of any kind. Her accents were pretty poor, even a western one would sound very odd and probably like something else. Looking at the two she forgot what she was saying immersed in her own thoughts. "How long have you two been coming here? To Three Mile Creek?"

Charlie//
"uh since i first started working here actually Krista and Handly showed me this place on my first day workin here," talking in my own tone now i cross a leg over while standing and fold my arms taking in the view of the tourists and a silenced Krista,it was a touchy subject for her i felt for her from what she has told me of her grandad he was like her hero.
Krista//
More memories came back when Serra asked me about the creek,i fell deep into thought before i relised i hadnt answered her question i wake from my silence, "well for me since my grandperants lived here wich was before my mum owned the place so,years," i answer Serras question and walk across the small dirt path to the fence and lean on it lookin at the cattle,i felt alittle happy at the fun we had up here and sad at how this was his final resting place,i rest my chin on the wooden fence peering at the cows and at the guests a couple of times.

Shandy//
"hey there,first iv seen of you all day,iv been making plans for tomorrow,"
I greet a hot looking Liam as i walk up to the stable where Whisper was,Liam was mucking out the stable next door,i smile at him he always did work hard here from day one,i hand him a mug of coffee as i sip my own.

"Oh," Serra said listening intently to Charlie. She noticed though that Krista was silent. Her family ran the farm so maybe..., oh, Serra thought, something in the family. "Long time then," she said seeing Krista walk to the fence. Hearing Leroy walk over he nosed her shoulder and looked over to Charlie. "So be careful with my questions next time?" Serra said.


"Just been working here and there," he said with a lazy smile, taking off the gloves he wore to get the cup of coffee. "Thanks by the way," Liam gestured with the hot drink before sipping it as well. "So what have you been plannin'?" Liam said holding the cup in one hand.

Charlie//
Ah gee i thought to myself i knew Serra didnt mean to upset her it was hard for Krista to talk about it especially by the creek.
"ah you didnt know its a tough subject for her to talk about, its not your fault," i give Serra a warm smile and move slightly to the side so Leroy can squeeze past to her.
Shandy//
"well its Kristas eight-teenth the day after tomorrow and its about fourteen hours drive to San Luis and back so i figured we should set off tomorrow mornin only its a suprise so dont tell Krista where were goin though she knows we are goin somewere,i thought we could go and see the rodeo there settin up there and market with this party later on well more like a dance," i explain stroking Whispers head as he pokes it through the half door,"we'll be takin the guests too so i need to sort transport as to whos drivin who in what car and all..," always so busy oh your boring the poor fella now i thought smiling at Whisper.

Serra shrugged off the feeling and said, "Ok. I'll remember that for later then." Once Charlie moved to the side slightly, Leroy walked to Serra, his short and cropped hair had started to grow out. He would need it during the heat, with the flies and other bugs. After he was done vying for Serra's attention, Leroy turned back to Charlie and leaned out to sniff him.


"I don't mind driving around for the guests," Liam said, "I'm always glad to help out Shandy you know that." The party sounded big and she would need all the help she could get that was for sure. Drinking more of the coffee, he thought about it for a minute. His clothes would have to be nicer than the usual stuff that he wore.

Charlie//
"hmm," i hold my hand out so the horse could sniff it he seemed very interested in me wich was a first as i notices Leroy never seemed that bothered with people,wich was nice.
Shandy//
"oh really that would be great,were setting off at half six i know its early but it wil take the edge off driving at night," i said happy that he was willing to drive some guests as it would be a long jorney.

Sniffing Charlie, the horse nosed his hand wondering if he had anything. Seeing the stetson that he had, Leroy started to sniff it as well and began to nibble on it. Finding the taste not as he thought it would be, Leroy lifted his head up and looked around. As quickly as he was here he was gone, wandering to find new discoveries. Serra laughed at her horse, seeing the dun look around for a friend or child to play with.


"That's fine with me," he said, holding the now empty coffee mug. Looking at the cup he said, "Eighteen. I remember when I was 18. It feels so far away though." He laughed and found a flat surface were the cup wouldn't fall or be knocked over. Putting his gloves back on Liam said, "There anythin' else you need taken care of?"

Charlie//
"hey!," i exclaim as the horse noses my hat and walks off,i laugh at the sight as he stomps off to investigate the guests,"what time is it?," i ask looking at the visitors then the cows my eyes trailing off to linger on Krista for a moment then i look back to West stroking him again.
Shandy//
"hahahaha oh your not the only one who feels that way," i laugh puting my mug next to his and start to put a halter on Whisper ready to lead him out and groom him,"ehh......i think thats it for now but thankyou all the same,ill let you know if there is anything else that needs adding but a few drivers is all we need,ill take my truck myself and charlie will take his he said so three trucks should be enough," i finish ajusting his halter and unbolt the stable door,lead Whisper out and tie him up to a metal ring next to his door.

Laim chuckled slightly when Shandy commented on what he said about being 18. When he was 18 he had three horses and was just finishing highschool. After that he would go down to college down in Kentucky for a couple of years before moving to Colorado in search of a job. "Alrighty then," he said to her, "glad I could help." After he finished muckin' out that stall, he put down a fresh layer of sawdust and hay, and led the horse back inside. He had a couple more to do before finishing his job that day.


Looking down at her digital camouflage watch, Serra said, "It's about 5 or so. Is it time to get going?" She looked in the distance and at the horses, thinking about what all to do and what was next on their trial. Serra did love this job, horses, fresh air and people. It was very nice for her, very refreshing and different from her life as a military brat traveling with her family across the world.

Charlie//
"wow that went fast yeah we'd better get goin,Handley has aranged for a cookout up by the barn," i didnt relise it was so late i announced where we were headed next planning a different route back to the ranch "okay its time we headed back so saddle up,only i want to swich afew people around," i decide it would be best as i planned to ride Johnny Mohawk back.
Krista//
Hearing Charlie give the latest announcement i ask "so who we swappin?," walkin up to him and Serra as a circle formed around us "i dont have a problem with riding West back," i glance at Johnny and give Charlie a look with he returned,it told me he would be takin Johnny back but what about Tex i condidered looking at a woman stood next to be she would fit the bill,she had been riding Dallas and i knew Tex would be fine with her.
